Jassy resides in paradise near Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. She is a full-time emerging contemporary artist pursuing her passion for art seriously a little later in life after having been formally trained at the Brisbane Institute of Art, and the Morningside College of Art in her early twenties. As an artist with a strong sense of social responsibility Jassy approaches art as a form of activism with many of her works exploring ecological, and ancestral themes, both very relevant and necessary social dialogues. Her paintings have been featured in numerous exhibitions in Queensland and Victoria and have been and sold and sent worldwide. Her works can be seen hanging in local government offices, clinics and cafes. Many have also been published in scholarly journals, magazines, blogs and books; the latest publication being, "Seasons of the Goddess: An Anthology" by Mago Publications, (2017).
Jassy is involved in a number of community arts projects including curating the annual Earth Arts exhibition, 'Voices for the Earth' which is open to Queensland Regional artists and founding a grass-roots not-for-profit community organization, WWHAG – Wide Bay Women’s Healing Arts Guild as well as being a selected artist and writer for 'Creative Regions' community projects.
Teaching is another passion, and as a certified Intentional Creativity Coach, Jassy teaches regular art classes from her studios 'in both Bundaberg and Melbourne. She is also inspired to hold annual international art retreats in destinations such as Greece and Bali.
